Dr. Abdul R. Alashraf

Lead Veterinarian | PhD in Small Animal Medicine

Dr. Abdul R. Alashraf is the lead veterinarian at Speers Road Animal Hospital and brings extensive academic and clinical experience to the care of companion animals. He holds a PhD in Small Animal Medicine and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Queen’s University and the Ontario Veterinary College, where he advanced his research and clinical expertise in veterinary medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Abdul has remained committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for pets and their families. He has helped treat more than 1,0000 pets and performed over 1,000 surgeries, combining advanced medical knowledge with a thoughtful and caring approach to every patient.

After first arriving in Oakville in 2019, Dr. Abdul returned to establish Speers Road Animal Hospital with a clear vision: to create a veterinary clinic built around the level of care he would want for his own pets—honest, compassionate, and focused on the highest medical standards.

Dr. Abdul is also a published author and has participated in outreach initiatives that provide veterinary support to underserved and Indigenous communities. His work reflects a strong dedication not only to clinical excellence but also to improving access to veterinary care.
